as if blogging wasn't popular before the gossip girl series, it's especially popular now. especially popular here. this board is guest friendly, so if you'd like to post a bit of character gossip anonymously, feel free to. gossip girl may not be watching you, but the rest of the world might be. play fair if you care, play dirty if you don't.

fishing is popular here. done for sport and for sale. the water's also good for swimming, as long as you're careful to avoid the boats that sail at all hours of the day.

whether you're interested in selling or buying, the market is the place to be. whether you're looking for fish and fruit for dinner, wine from the nearest winery and vineyards, or an evening gown for some big event this is where you'll find it.

there are plenty of vineyards in the world and a good majority of them are right here in italy, but there are only a few large, marketing vineyards here in liguria. the largest and most popular is the agosto vineyard and winery.

campanella university is small, a sort of community college for liguria and surrounding villages. it was opened in the late nineteen hundreds and named after the italian philosopher tommaso campanella. this university harbors just under one hundred students studying a variety of majors.

for tourists looking to stay in liguria, you have very few options. it's either a stranger's couch, a hostel, or this local inn. cleverly named posto di sonno, which in italian simply means place of sleep. it's rather inexpensive and helps to feed the italian authenticity.

liguria is a little town, a sort of quiet (as quiet as italian's get) village, but life would be boring without having a hot spot nearby. calore, italian for heat, was opened just last year by jonathan wolfsheim - who owns a 'heat' club in several countries - and is a good place to come, drink, dance, and have a good time.

a small bistro in the center of town, moretti's has been open for more than sixty years. this family-owned business offers up authentic italian cuisine and service with a smile. moretti's used to be the place to be, at least, until valentino's came into town. it's a bitter rivalry between the two restaurants and everyone is taking sides.

kaodi's café is owned and run by jaison marsden. the café is just a quiet little hole in the wall place that has good coffee and good food. it's a great place to go to relax and, if you have kids, theres a little play area for them in the cafe so parents can have a nice break without having to worry about everything their kid is doing.
